$25,000 Prize But Best Communities Competition Over for Wenatchee Area

Arbitrator Orders Fired Sheriff's Sergeant Reinstatement

The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office must reinstate Sergeant Mike Harris after a ruling by an arbitrator last week. The arbitrator said the administration was biased in their decision to terminate Harris a year ago over time sheet inconsistencies and other past policy violations.

On Saturday the Chelan County PUD unveiled eight new deluxe cabins and other improvements at Lincoln Rock State Park. The PUD spend over $5 million on the cabins and other amenities, improvements that were mandated by the federal government.
