Whether it’s loss of habitat, food, or life, fires bring devastation to the animal kingdom just as they do to us humans. For a look at how the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife mitigates the repercussions of wildfires, Dan spoke with local Fish and Wildlife Biologist Dave Volsen.

Sheriff's Deputies Seek Help in Helping to Save Lives

In times of emergencies, it can be easy to think medical issues will fall to EMTs and crime to Sheriff’s Deputies or Police Officers, and that little overlap exists between the two. However, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is saying, Not so. Sheriff Harvey Gjesdal and his staff are pushing a project that would put defibrillators in many deputy vehicles. For a look at what that project entails and how it could help save lives, Dan Langager reports.
