Our History Through Baskets

A major new exhibit called The River of Baskets will be featured at the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center starting today through August 2. It’s a project costing upwards of $70,000, the most ambitious project the museum has hosted in over five years. Museum Director Brenda Abney stops by the studio to talk about the exhibit.

Car Prowler Arrested in WHS Parking Lot

A car prowler was caught red-handed in the Wenatchee High School parking lot this morning by Safety and Security Officer Janine Owyen and Wenatchee Police officers. Dustin Graff of East Wenatchee was booked into the Chelan County jail on charges of vehicle prowl, theft in the third degree and criminal trespass. KOHO news intern Bryce Newberry reports.

Extra Patrols Looking For Cell Phones, Seat Belts

Starting May 19 and going through the end of the month, law enforcement officers across North Central Washington will be conducting extra patrols, seeking out drivers using their cell phones or not wearing a seat belt while driving. Caption Doug Jones with the Wenatchee Police Dept. joins Clint in the KOHO studio to give us the details.



Bob King Remembered

Wenatchee School District lost its influential and long-time Director of Security Bob King. King passed away from pancreatic cancer April 28 after serving Wenatchee schools for 16 years. He helped shape the district’s safety and security department into what it is today. KOHO news intern Bryce Newberry filed this report on the loss of Bob King.
