Town Auto Group Donates to Fire Victims Fund

A long recovery road still lies ahead for those affected by the Carlton Complex Fires in Okanogan County. Winter is coming and both the citizens and aid groups there need funding to pay for housing, food and clothing. The local Town Auto Group recognized that need and chose to make a donation to the Fire Victims Fund from their August sales totaling over $27,000 dollars. Dan Langager has the details.

Say Hello to the New Castle Rock

It’s one of the most iconic landmarks of the Wenatchee foothills. For the long history of hiking in our area, Castle Rock has seen little attention from professional trail builders and conservationists. That’s all changed however thanks to the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust and one local couple. Through land purchases and fundraising, Castle Rock, and its new network of trails, can be enjoyed for generations to come. We sent our own Dan Langager to the scene of the brand new trailhead currently under construction to the get the details.

Wenatchee FFA Sends Veterans to D.C. Memorials

One way local students pay it back to our veterans this time of year is by raising money to send them to Washington D.C. to visit their respective memorial sights free of charge. The Wenatchee Future Farmers of America, or FFA, are once again seeking donations to support the Honor Flight Network. For full details on the Honor Flight and how it helps honor our veterans, KOHO News Intern Emily Cieslak filed this report.
