Wolverine Fire Update

The Wolverine Fire continues to grow and spread smoke throughout the Lake Chelan area. Saturday night infra-red flight shows the fire had expanded to 15,760 acres. Forest Service officials held a public meeting last night and Jay Witherbee with KOZI was there.


Wenatchee, County District 1 Fire Merger Complete

Carlton Recovery Reaches New Fundraising Goal

Reconstruction following the largest Washington state wildfire is underway, with seven of the first 11 homes being built through crowd-sourcing now going up. There’s still a long way to go in both construction and fundraising, but the Carlton Complex Long Term Recovery Group took in half a million dollars in just the last three weeks.

Wolverine Fire Grows, Causes Evacuations

The Wolverine Fire was very active overnight and into this morning, growing to about 6,000 acres. One residence was destroyed at Domke Lake. The smoke column is visible in the Lake Chelan and surrounding areas. Click here for more.
