U.S. Army Proposes Helicopter Training in Local Forests

The U.S. Army wants to conduct helicopter training exercises in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. A public comment period is underway now on the scoping portion of proposal, but it closes out today. Dan Langager takes a look at the scoping document's details, as well as comments from National Forest officials.

Peshastin Mill Site Finally Has Buyer

The Port of Chelan County has accepted an offer to purchase the upland 46-acre portion of the former Peshastin Mill Site. Port Commissioner J.C. Baldwin says Leavenworth residents Jennifer and Bill Goebel made an offer on the purchase price of $1.65 million.
