Polanski was prosecuted - he admitted guilt - he fled prior to sentencing - he should be returned for sentencing. This is a matter for the court, not public opinion.

Just a few comments regarding recent 3 Doors Down concert. I was lucky enough to win concert tickets (thank you KOHO!!) and had great time, even though they only sell alcohol on breaks which makes it brutal to get anything standing in line for so long! There could be more food choices too besides hamburgers and hot dogs. What I later found out when I was telling friends and family about the show is how very few knew about the concert. Many more would have attended had they known. I believe the venue needs to do a better job promoting the shows.

Also, when we tried to “upgrade” our general admission (standing only) floor tickets, we were told the only way we could do that was to buy two more tickets at full price. That just seemed so stupid when there were many empty seats, or let those seats go once the concert starts so others can move up.

Looking forward to many more concerts with great artists!

At a time when fire departments are feeling the budget crunch

The cost of combatting even small wildland fires is increasing just like everything else. It's time we put an end to the lunacy of setting off personal fireworks during the hottest and driest time of year. An outright ban on personal fireworks can result in lower operational costs for our regions departments, as well as keep firefighters and the general public much safer.

setting off fireworks in hot dry weather ? I can't believe how stupid that is. Lets allow drunks to drive. Afterall, responsible drinkers don't cause fatal accidents.

Personal fireworks should be banned during the summer months. I do not think that the big displays in Wenatchee and elsewhere should be banned as long as those fireworks are set off over a body of water.
