WVC President Reacts To Governor's Proposed Budget Cuts

October 31, 2011

    Governor

Gregoire’s proposed budget is out. Among the cuts designed to fill a $2 billion hole is a 15% cut to higher

education. To get a sense of how this cut would play out locally, Isaac Kaplan-Woolner called Wenatchee Valley

College.
President Jim Richardson said WVC would still continue to offer a quality

education, but that 15% cuts would be very hard to stomach. Services to students would certainly suffer.

/>    KOHO News will continue to explore the local impacts of Governor Gregoire’s proposed

budget cuts as we move closer to the late November special session of the legislature.
