convalescent home in Wenatchee is being transformed into a state-of-the-art mental health treatment facility. The
Parkside Rehabilitation Center on Monitor Street is undergoing a major facelift and should be ready for occupancy
before the end of the year. . .
Douglas County Commissioner, Ken Stanton, who sits on the Regional Support
Network’s board of directors, described the progress so far . .
When completed the new facility will serve
multiple functions. The Chelan-Douglas Regional Support Network, Columbia Valley Community Health and The Women’s
Resource Center will eventually occupy the building to centralize mental-health services that are at present
scattered at various locations.
The local Support Network is one of 13 statewide that receive state money. It
