Wenatchee Retailers Target Growing Latino Market

Wenatchee’s business community appears to be

embracing the concept of diversity. The valley’s commercial retail industry is showing signs of change and that’s

a positive thing according to Wenatchee Diversity Advisory Council Vice-Chairman, Doug Taylor. Taylor says the

most notable difference is how stores are adapting to an increasing Latino population. . .

In an interview

with Wenatchee Bureau Chief Steve Hair, Taylor discussed the State of diversity in the Wenatchee Valley. He also

described how the panel is working to achieve its vision of creating a community where diversity is welcomed,

valued and celebrated . .
