For many, the big news in the local winter sports world was opening weekend at both Mission
Ridge and Stevens Pass. But the other big news is that Stevens Pass has been sold to a new owner.
/> Harbor Properties confirmed the sale Friday to CNL Lifestyle Properties. It cost CNL a cool $20.5 million
for the 1,125-acre property at the crest of Highway 2.
Isaac Kaplan-Woolner spoke with the new CEO of
Stevens Pass by phone Friday, as he was touring the mountain in preparation for opening day.
Pass will now be open for the season 7 days a week. As of Sunday night they were reporting a 31” base and 2
fresh inches of snow.
