State Job Numbers Surge in June

Washington state is seeing some serious job

growth. In just the month of June, the state’s economy added almost 10,000 jobs. That’s up from the

4,600 new jobs in May.

Data released by the Washington State Employment Security

Department yesterday shows a steady increase of job creation so far in 2013. The state’s unemployment rate,

however, remains at 6.8 percent.
