Not sure if the Huskies have ever played better defense in the Lorenzo Romar era than they did Sunday night when they destroyed No. 13 San Diego State 49-36 in a marvelous defensive effort that held the Aztecs to 20.4 percent shooting (11 of 54) from the field.
In a performance that only further re-established that the Seahawks could indeed win another Super Bowl, Seattle dominated the Eagles from start to finish in a 24-14 victory at Lincoln Financial Field.
Seattle’s young players, once question marks surrounding the depth of this team, are taking their seats at the table. And it means the Seahawks are starting to field the trusted depth that made them so difficult last season.
