Representative Cary Condotta said Tuesday that he is
still awaiting a vote on the bill that would allow Wenatchee city council to impose a .2% sales tax to help pay
off the Town Toyota Center's $42 million defaulted construction debt. This would set in motion a series of
events, now that all 9 Public Facilities District entities have agreed to put a .1% sales tax to a public vote.
But Condotta said time is getting tight in Olympia, and the legislature must first pass the bill that would allow
Wenatchee to impose the .2% sales tax.
