Pacific Aerospace and Electronics Reports Rising Profits

While some businesses have struggled to make money during the recession, one Wenatchee area business has

been thriving.
Business is booming at Pacific Aerospace and Electronics (PAE). The Wenatchee area business is

headquartered at Olds Station on Chelan County Port District land. The Company’s President Lew Ware and Chief

Financial Officer Charlie Miracle provided Port Commissioners with a business status report. Steve Hair files the

PAE moved to Wenatchee from Roseburg Oregon in 1993 starting with about 13 employees. The

Company, which is French owned, manufactures hermetic electronic packaging and components. Miracle says the

products are used in a variety of high-tech applications ranging from Medicine to Military to Aerospace…

company has seen tremendous growth in productioin and sales of a cochlear implant device that restores hearing to

those who are born deaf.
Ware says 70 percent of PAE’s business is military and aerospace related. The company

is currently owned by a French connector business, Sorio which Ware said is in the process of being sold to a

Washington-based Esterline Corporation. PAE is privately owned but not publically traded.
