Miss Veedol Arrives In Japan

November 30, 2010

Miss Veedol’s arrival in Misawa Japan is

better late than never. That’s how officials with the Spirit of Wenatchee group feel about the delay in getting

the historic aircraft replica shipped overseas. The group has sent a delegation of members to Misawa to join up

with the aircraft which arrived there late last week by ship. Spirit of Wenatchee group President, Scott Carter

talked with Wenatchee Bureau Chief Steve Hair Monday while waiting for their flight at Seatac Airport . Miss

Veedol was the plane piloted by Clyde Pangborn in 1931 on the World’s first non-stop trans-Pacific flight from

Japan to East Wenatchee.
