June 07, 2011

Chelan County Prosecutor Gary Reisen says he will pursue manslaughter

charges in connection with the case of a good Samaritan who died after he was punched by a motorist he was trying

to help. . . Reisen discussed the charges against 50 year old Juan Gonzalez in an interview with Wenatchee Bureau

Chief Steve Hair . .

Garcia died Saturday night at Central Washington Hospital after suffering a serious

head injury. Police reported Garcia approached Gonzalez’s car on Friday afternoon near the intersection of Ferry

and Crescent Streets after it appeared the vehicle was disabled. Gonzalez then allegedly assaulted a police

officer who tried to apprehend him.
Reisen says its likely that Gonzalez will enter his plea to the charges in

about two weeks from now.
