style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt">A 76-year old man is in the hospital with a broken
neck after a search and rescue along the Mad River Trail.
"font-size: 14pt"> CountySheriff’s officials were called out
around 3:50 Monday afternoon after a log struck Elmo Warren in the head while clearing trails. Warren and his
grandson contract with the U.S. Forest Service clearing those trails. Sheriff’s officials had to bring
in a winch capable helicopter to assist with the rescue. Warren was flown off to Central Washington Hospital just
after eight p-m.
