Local Philanthropist Gives Big to Marijuana Legalization

November 03, 2011

Today we continue to examine the issue of marijuana legalization in

Washington State. A campaign to legalize marijuana for recreational use in Washington state is getting a big cash

boost with two months left to collect signatures.
    Campaign director Alison Holcomb says

her group New Approach Washington received a check for $100,000 Tuesday from philanthropist Harriet Bullitt.

Bullitt is the owner of Icicle Broadcasting, the parent company of KOHO Radio. She is also owner of

Leavenworth’s Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort.
    Bullitt joined KOHO’s Isaac

Kaplan-Woolner to explain why she has decided to back I-502.
