Contention Over Skate Park Leads to Hold Up of Cascade School Construction

Cascade School Superintendent Bill Motsenbocker tells KOHO it is not the responsibility of the school district to build a new skate park once the current park near Cascade High is torn down to make room for a new academic wing. The city of Leavenworth is now withholding building permits until the impasse is resolved.


Land Trust, PUD to Purchase Loop Trail Property from DOT

The Washington Department of Transportation deemed 25 acres of Columbia River shoreline by the Odabashian Bridge in Douglas County surplus, and so the Chelan-Douglas Land Trust and Chelan PUD want to preserve it for wildlife habitat and recreation.
