House Capital Budget Retains Funding for WVC and Eastmont School Districrt

The Washington state

House released its $3.13 billion construction budget for the next two years Monday, including $718.5 million in

construction grants for K-12 schools and $626.7 million for projects at colleges and universities.
The proposal

was seen as a positive for local projects that are dependent on state funding.
The capital budget includes the

1.6 million dollar state match for construction of the new music and arts building at Wenatchee Valley College.

It also includes the 44 million dollar match for Eastmont School District’s construction work at Grant

Elementary, Sterling Middle, and Eastmont High School.
