it was more likely when you would. An 8 mile long fence between Wenatchee and Entiat have gone a long ways
towards lessening the danger on a highway that sported one of the highest animal kill rates in the state. State
officials say the mortality rate of sheep and deer along that stretch of highway is down as much as 80
percent. KOHO’s Clint Strand talked with Department of Fish and Wildlife Biologist Dave Volsen about
the fence and safety along Highway 97A.
