Former Leavenworth Festhalle Manager Accused of Theft

Festhalle results in a local man charged with theft.

Chelan County Sheriff’s

officials arrested former Festhalle Manager David Winters Thursday on suspicion of theft. Chelan County

Prosecutor Doug Shae said that the case is going through his office, and they have until tomorrow

to formally charge Winters. The Chelan County Sheriff's affidavit of probable cause indicates the

amount in question missing from Festhalle coffers totaled $2700 dollars.  2nd

Degree Theft is a Class “C” Felony, usually charged when the amount taken is more than $750 but less

than $5000. 

 

 

NOTE: additions to the

story since this morning include amount of money in question from affidavit of probable cause. This story has also

been revised to note Winters has not been officially charged yet, and the Chelan County Prosecutors' office has

until tomorrow to do so.
