Douglas County Sheriff's Deputies Arrest Man After Standoff

Tense moments in East Wenatchee Saturday, when a 41-year old Yakima man engaged in a standoff with SWAT

officials after a woman reported he physically assaulted her. Police responded to a house near SR 28 in East

Wenatchee where Bill Moore had barricaded himself in. Moore is a supervised offender with the Department of

Corrections, with an outstanding warrant for felony escape and a misdemeanor warrant from Douglas

County. After warning Moore if he didn’t come out they would shoot pepper spray and mace in the house,

he came out and was arrested without further incident. No one was injured in the
