Young Pianist Camp

ABOUT This Icicle Creek Center for the Arts program welcomes young aspiring pianists, ages 13-18 years, for a week long session of individual lessons, practice, masterclasses and workshops, inspiring nature hikes in the spectacular Cascade Mountains, and outings to the Bavarian Village of Leavenworth. Piano Camp is open to intermediate and advanced pianists who have had at least five years of private lessons and have studied and performed standard repertoire of equal or greater difficulty to: Bach, Inventions Movements of Classical sonatas of Haydn, Mozart or Beethoven Chopin, Preludes, Waltzes or Nocturnes 2015 Faculty Dr. Oksana Ezhokina (Program Director and Chair of Piano Studies, Pacific Lutheran University) and Dr. Naomi Niskala (Professor of Piano, Susquehanna University, PA) DAILY SCHEDULE (subject to change) 8:00 – 9:00 Breakfast 9:00 – 11:00 Lessons/Individual Practice 11:00 – 12:00 Free Time/Activities with Counselors 12:00 – 1:00 Lunch 1:00 – 3:00 Group Sessions/Masterclasses 3:30 – 5:30 Lessons//Individual Practice 6:00 – 7:00 Dinner 7:00 – 9:00 Organized Group Activities/Games TUITION Overnight Camp: $950 (all-inclusive - tuition, all meals, room & board) Day Camp: $550 (includes tuition and lunches) SCHOLARSHIPS A number of need-based scholarships will be given out to deserving students. Please indicate your interest in financial aid on the registration form and also complete the online scholarship application. You need to register even if your participation in camp is contingent on receiving a scholarship.

Historical Walking Tour in Leavenworth

August 13, 2016    Meet at 10:00 am

This is the Railroad/Logging Walk down by the River, is about 1-2 hrs. and will be miles of on mostly, trail, flat ground, and 1 small hill. You will see where logging and railroad helped Leavenworth become a town. You will visit the depot and see where RR tracks were and also a walk through part of town. There is a $3 donation.

The Town Tour will be about 1-2 hrs. and will be a couples of on mostly flat ground, This is the town walk with stops at Fest Halle to see Centennial Quilt, where buildings like a drug store, car dealership, depot were and much more. There is a $3 donation
