Authorities believe Shi killed his teenage nephews before fleeing to China because he was upset his wife wanted a divorce. The LASD says a woman called 911 on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, reporting she had found her two sons suffering from head trauma in their Arcadia, Calif., home. Once it begins, avalanche control work generally takes from 30 minutes to 2 hours to complete. WSDOT will provide an update should an extended closure become necessary.
