US2 is closed from Coles Corner at milepost 85 to Leavenworth at milepost 99, due to fire activity. SR 207 and the Chumstick hwy are open as a detour to Leavenworth. No vehicles over 26,000 lbs. allowed on the Chumstick highway. There is no estimated time of reopening.

Rock blasting closures scheduled Monday through Thursday at 8:00 p.m. lasting one hour or more. During blasting I-90 will be closed milepost 56 near Gold Creek to milepost 61 near Price Creek. During closures there are no services eastbound past milepost 53 and westbound past milepost 70. I-90 is closed to bicycles both directions from Hyak Exit 54 to Stampede Pass exit 62.

Medical staff take a blood sample from a suspected Ebola patient at the government hospital in KenemaA 33-year-old American doctor working for a relief organization in Liberia's capital has tested positive for the tropical disease Ebola, according to a statement from Samaritan's Purse. Dr. Kent Brantly, medical director at one of the country's two treatment centers run by the organization, recognized his own symptoms and confined himself to an isolation ward. It was not immediately clear how he caught Ebola. The relief group's Melissa Strickland said that he had followed strict safety protocols when treating patients.
