In response to the U.S. Justice Department, the Wash. State Liquor Control Board is amending its rules on zoning for marijuana retail stores. The tighter, more specific regulations will make it difficult for smaller cities, such as those in Chelan County, to find real estate that fits the bill for proper zoning measurements.

Funding for Pangborn Aiport Runway Project Finalized

Commissioners from the ports of Chelan and Douglas counties agreed to accept a $9.9 million federal grant from the FAA. The money is a first installment on a $25 million, 3-year project to lengthen the runway at Pangborn.
