New Fire Tenders in Chelan and Manson

As fire danger becomes ever more prevalent, fire districts in Chelan County must get and maintain the proper equipment. Fire tender trucks are an essential, for commercial fires as well. The Manson Fire Department has long needed a new fire tender and just when they prepared for its arrival, they found out they have to wait a little longer.

Body Recovered from Icicle River

A 46-year-old woman went missing Wednesday evening while hiking near Bridge Creek up the Icicle Drainage. Chelan County searchers and family members combed the area and a helicopter crew spotted a body in the river Thursday afternoon. Chelan County Emergency Management Director Rich Magnussen gives the details.

Chelan County Updating Shoreline Plan

Chelan County officials finalizing the policies and documents that govern how shorelines within the county are managed. Each municipality in the county submits a plan for their jurisdiction, which is then incorporated into the county plan, which is then incorporated into the state plan.
