Tourism Bump for Carlton Fire Areas

On top of the most dire repercussions for victims of the Carlton Complex, the economy of Okanogan County was hit hard as well. Tourism – the life-blood of many small-town businesses there – dropped significantly from early August on. In an effort to reverse that decline, state grant funding is paying for a marketing campaign to promote the outdoor recreation available in the Okanogan area. Dan Langager has the details.
