Authorities have now identified the body of the female discovered Saturday in the Crescent Bar area as that of 17 year old MacKenzie Cowell, the missing Orondo teenager. Douglas County Sheriff Harvey Gjesdal met with reporters Sunday afternoon to discuss the case. He says the detectives immediately responded after the girl’s body was found Saturday afternoon by a group of people walking along the riverbank.
