Wenatchee Mayor OK with Riverfront Apartment Complex
May 31, 2013
Planning commissioners gave the green light this week to an apartment complex that, once built, will be the largest by far in the Wenatchee valley. If you own more than one car, though, it may not be the right fit for you.
The 312-unit complex, set for development near the Riverfront Drive area, has fewer parking spaces than traditionally allotted for a building this size. The expectation is that the people attracted to the centrally located apartment complex would be more likely to walk, bike, or take public transit where they need to go than own multiple cars.
In his weekly talk with KOHO’s Clint Strand, Wenatchee Mayor Frank Kunz says he’s on board with the thought process behind the decision.
