After nearly a year of research, planning and public hearings,
Washington state has approved the rules for its new legal marijuana industry. The state liquor control board will
file the final forms for adoption of the rules by the end of the week. Meanwhile, Chelan County officials will be
hosting a public hearing Oct. 29 to gauge the community’s stance on the county’s moratorium on pot and
how to move forward now that the state laws have been finalized.
