The Christmas Season is anything but a holiday for women victimized by Domestic abuse. Steve Hair shares a story of a Wenatchee woman who is trying to escape that cycle of violence and how the YWCA is helping her find a new life . . .
The phone # for our region's Domestic and Sexual Violence is 663-7446 (or 888-HELP). Each of us can be a resource to our neighbor's in need if we pay attention, listen, and refer victims for confidential help. The DSV center in Wenatchee is a a source of social services and confidential advocacy on the victim's behalf 24 hours a day for free. It is an expertly managed organization supported by generous local donors and grants.
Please remember them in your Holiday "giving" plans. Thanks, Volunteer Advocate "P"
