UW Dean of Public Health Talks Climate Change

March 18, 2013

Earlier this year Howard Frumkin, Dean of the School of Public Health at the University of Washington, wrote an op-ed on climate change for the Seattle Times. In the piece, Frumkin argues that climate change is already negatively impacting the health of people across the globe, and that it will only get worse if we do not act now to lessen greenhouse gas emissions.
Dr. Frumkin was disturbed by the number of people commenting of his article who doubted that climate change was even real, or that people could do anything about the problem.

We will start with the original commentary, read by Dr. Frumkin, who will then further discuss global warming with KOHO’s Isaac Kaplan-Woolner.
