Summer 2012 Banner Year For Search And Rescues

It’s well known that the Wenatchee Valley is a Mecca for outdoor recreation enthusiasts. It’s a reason why many live here year round, and why so many more come over here to commune with Mother Nature or grab a shot of adrenaline. 
 
When those thrill-seekers get in trouble, either through accidents or negligence, and need to be saved, that costs the county money.
 
Chelan County Sheriff’s officials say this has been an incredibly busy year for search and rescues, and chat with KOHO’s Clint Strand about what…if anything…can be done about it.
