Some Shortage in Flu Vaccine Supply

It’s the first official day of fall… are you getting sick yet? While we still have a few months before we’re in the thick of flu season, the Chelan Douglas Health District is urging folks to get vaccinated early this year. And with swine flu ready to rear its snout once again, officials are urging vulnerable populations to consider an additional vaccine.
But so many folks have heeded the call, some flu vaccine providers are having trouble keeping up with demand. There may even be a temporary shortage as supplies are sent to the valley.
