While many apple growers are turning their orchards into vineyards, an East Wenatchee grower is finding success in turning apples into wine. Peter Ringsrud  has established a new cider works that is unlike anything else doing business in North Central Washington. Snowdrift Cider Company was started a little less than a year ago and already his product is turning heads and pleasing pallets across the northwest. Steve Hair toured Ringsrud’s fledgling operation to learn more about the art of making hard cider. Snowdrift Cider Company is one of only two licensed hard cider manufacturers in Washington State.
