Search for missing Orondo Teen Continues

style="margin: 0in 1in 0pt 0.5in">Sheriff Mike Harum reports on February 9, 2010 at approximately 2200 hours,

the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 2300 block of Pitcher

Canyon Road. Deputies responded and discovered an un-occuiped 1997 Pontiac registered to an Orondo


The registered owner, Reid Cowell advised deputies the Pontiac belonged to his 17 year old daughter, MacKenize

Cowell and she was out past her curfew. Deputies searched the area for Ms. Cowell on foot and with Chelan

County Sheriff’s Office tracking dog, and were unable to locate any signs of Ms. Cowell.

The Chelan County

Sheriff’s Office has set up a tip line and is asking for public assistance. Anyone with information of

MacKenize Cowell’s whereabouts is asked to call 509-667-6848. She is 5’ 9”, 120 lbs., brown

hair, recently died with a redish tint and last seen wearing black pants, black top, black coat which ties at the

waist and brown suede type boots with fur rim.  

Sheriff Harum has created a task force consisting of

Chelan County Detectives, Wenatchee Police Detectives and Douglas County Detectives to assist locating Ms.
