Rocky Reach Trail Extension Could Receive Federal Stimulus Funds

Its possible that the long awaited extension of the

Apple Capital Loop trail to Lincoln Rock State park could become a reality this summer. Transportation officials

in Chelan and Douglas County’s are putting together a list of projects that could qualify for funding under the

proposed Federal jobs stimulus bill. A preliminary list presented to the Wenatchee Valley Transportation Council

this week includes 2.7 million dollars for the Rocky Reach Trail project. WVTC Executive Director, Jeff Wilkins

says a total of 13 projects were listed on a technical advisory committee’s list. The draft list available for

your review through the Wenatchee Valley Transportation Council
