The horrors of combat are ever present for those in the military who have seen live fire. For many of those veterans, re-adjusting to civilian life once the bullets stop flying is every bit as harrowing as dodging mortars.
A Leavenworth group wants to help veterans with that process. Called “Project At Ease”, it aims to give vets and their families some time in a peaceful setting with others who are dealing with the same challenges and issues.
KOHO’s Clint Strand talked to coordinator John Schramm on the KOHO Morning Show about the group, and an informational meeting Thursday, September 6th at the Chelan County Public Utility District Community Room off of the Chumstick Highway.
