Port OK's Public Access onto Peshastin Mill Site Property
November 05, 2009
Peshastin area residents got what they wanted this week when the Chelan County Port District granted their request for public access onto the Port-owned mill site property. Steve Keene with the Peshastin Community Council Tells KOHO’s Steve Hair the Port Commissioners’ action is welcome news. The new Port policy allows non-motorized public access onto the property between December 1st and March 31st. The Port could suspend access if damage to the property occurs. A new master plan is being developed by the Port for the old lumber mill site to map out its future economic development potential.
