While some businesses have struggled to make money during the recession, one Wenatchee area business has been thriving.
Business is booming at Pacific Aerospace and Electronics (PAE). The Wenatchee area business is headquartered at Olds Station on Chelan County Port District land. The Company’s President Lew Ware and Chief Financial Officer Charlie Miracle provided Port Commissioners with a business status report. Steve Hair files the report . . .
PAE moved to Wenatchee from Roseburg Oregon in 1993 starting with about 13 employees. The Company, which is French owned, manufactures hermetic electronic packaging and components. Miracle says the products are used in a variety of high-tech applications ranging from Medicine to Military to Aerospace…
The company has seen tremendous growth in productioin and sales of a cochlear implant device that restores hearing to those who are born deaf.
Ware says 70 percent of PAE’s business is military and aerospace related. The company is currently owned by a French connector business, Sorio which Ware said is in the process of being sold to a Washington-based Esterline Corporation. PAE is privately owned but not publically traded.
