A North Central Washington Doctor is coming to East Wenatchee to give a presentation on his six humanitarian aid trips into the Gaza Strip. Omak physician Dr. Bill Dienst will report on conditions in Gaza and advocate for an end to Israel’s blockade of the contested region.
Dr. Dienst traveled to Gaza in October 2009 to provide medical services with Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility. Dr. Dienst is also an advocate for human rights and peace in Palestine and Israel.
KOHO’s Isaac Kaplan-Woolner reached Dr. Dienst in Omak.
That presentation on Omak Dr. Bill Dienst’s humanitarian aid work in the Gaza strip will take place at 7 p.m., Monday, March 22 at the East Wenatchee Cascade Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
