Over a hundred people gathered yesterday at the Chelan County Courthouse to hear
eight newly elected officials take their oaths of office. Wenatchee Bureau Chief Steve Hair attended the ceremony
and afterwards spoke with Chelan County’s new superior court clerk, Kim Morrison . .
Also taking their
oaths of office Tuesday were Treasurer, Dave Griffiths, Sheriff, Brian Burnett, Assessor Vickie Trudell, Coroner,
Wayne Harris and Commissioner Keith Goehner
Two other county officials did not attend the ceremony.
Reelected Prosecutor, Gary Reisen was sworn into office in a private ceremony on Monday and District Court Judge
Alisha Nakata is on vacation and will give her oath of office at a later date.
Its interesting to note
that the former Vickie Griffin who was elected to replace Assessor Russ Griffin has changed her name to Trudell
following her December 4th marriage.
The newly elected officials will formally assume their duties after
the new year.
