Making College (More) Available

December 31, 2013

Wenatchee Valley College has

played a big part in the Wenatchee area for almost 75 years. Each year, the WVC Foundation distributes thousands

of dollars in scholarship funds to help students achieve their educational goals. The foundation announced

yesterday they will provide over $170,000 in scholarships and awards next school year.

About 70 percent of

WVC attendees receive financial aid of some kind. In the 2012-2013 school year, that equated to about 3,000

students. And over the coming years, that’s only going to go up.

Dan Langager sat down with Stacey

Lockhart, executive director of the WVC Foundation.
