Wenatchee Names New Police Chief

Last night the Wenatchee city council and Mayor Frank Kuntz tapped Wash. Fish & Wildlife Chief of Enforcement Steve Crown as the new Chief of Police. The council also approved a complete fireworks ban, which goes into effect next year.


Transportation Council Awards $5 Million to Projects Across Chelan-Douglas Counties

The Chelan-Douglas Transportation Council this week chose 11 local projects to share among them close to $5 million dollars. They range from new sidewalks near schools, to rehabilitation work of the Woodin Avenue Bridge in Chelan, to roundabouts in Wenatchee and East Wenatchee.
