Federal Trade Assistance Approved for Laid-off Alcoa Employees

Further help is coming to laid-off employees from the now-idled Alcoa Wenatchee Works smelter. The U.S. Department of Labor approved Trade Adjustment Assistance and Reemployment Trade Adjustment Assistance to re-train workers and find them new jobs.

Legionnaires Investigation Expands to Wenatchee Hospital

During their investigation into an increase of Legionnaires’ disease cases since October, the Chelan-Douglas Health District found Legionella bacteria in the cooling tower outside the Wenatchee Valley Hospital and Clinics campus. However they don’t believe there is a correlation with cases linked to Safeway, as Dan Langager reports.

WHS Alum Killed in Alleged Accidental Shooting
