One area that felt heavy strains from the 2008 recession was the housing market. Homes both sold and bought severely decreased between 2007 and 2011 in the Wenatchee valley. Yet, sales have begun to turn around. Numbers for far this year are much higher than last, in demand, sales and prices.
A study released yesterday by Pacific Appraisal Associates in Wenatchee provides a real estate snap shot for the greater Wenatchee area so far in 2013.
In short - the housing market here is doing much better than last year. Although sales prices are remaining steady, the first half of the year has seen an increase in the number of sales over last year.
