Local Election Night Results

November 03, 2010

There’s a new sheriff in town . . Chelan County voters have unseated

two-term incumbent Mike Harum in favor of Brian Burnett by a wide margin. Burnett outpolled Harum by a whopping 74

t0 26 percent margin. In the race for two Chelan County PUD Commission seats incumbent Ann Congdon leads Jenae

Miller 61 to 39 percent. Meanwhile incumbent Dennis Bolz holds a slim 51 to 49 percent lead over his challenger

Stan Morse. Chelan County Commissioner Keith Goehner garnered 71 percent of the vote over his challenger Dave Tait

and Assessor candidate Vickie Griffin has apparently beaten Dave Oliver in her bid to replace retiring Russ

Griffin. Voters in the Leavenworth Transportation Benefit District have approved proposition one with 63 percent

favoring that measure. All of the results are unofficial until the election is certified. Election night results

reflected 55 percent of the total ballots returned with more votes to be counted this week.

Voters in

Douglas County have apparently elected a new district three Commissioner. Incumbant Mary Hunt was trailing her

challenger, Bridgeport Mayor Steve Jenkins 51 to 49 percent. District Court Judge Judith McCauley survived a

challenge from Deputy Prosecutor, Gordon Edgar 57 to 43 percent. Voters in the Eastmont School District favored a

75 million dollar construction bond, but not by enough votes to meet the 60 percent threshold required for

passage.
