LINK Transit has decided to end the
Chelan trolley route early due to budgetary concerns and lack of ridership. It will not return in the spring. Most
of the rest of planned route and schedule changes will take effect October 3rd. July ridership numbers were down
almost 15 percent from July 2010, which Eric West with LINK says may be due to fare increases. Meanwhile, the
electric trollies are now more than a year late, and it looks like LINK will have to weait a bit longer as E-Bus
works out kinks with the fast charging station.
